Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)

This chakra’s color code is yellow. Its mantra is RAM.
It is located just above the navel area.
It controls the digestive system.

The Heart Chakra (Anahata)

Green is the colour that is used to represent it. The chakra’s mantra is YAM.
The chakra’s location is in the chest area, just on the breast-plate.

Throat Chakra (Visshudha)

The throat chakra representation is the color blue. The corresponding mantra is HAM.
The chakra’s location is in the throat area.

Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)

This chakra representation is the indigo color. Its mantra is SHAM.

This is not always straight forward to know which ones are blocked and which ones are not. They manifest themselves in various ways; sometimes subtly and sometimes dominantly.

Let us have a look at the ways of identifying the blockage of the various chakras.

Root Chakra

The root chakra is blocked when you experience fears, anxiety disorders, and nightmares.

It will manifest itself with problems in the elimination and the colon. Furthermore, problems with the bladder, lower back, and the feet and legs are all indicative of blocked root chakra.

Sacral Chakra

When blocked, it will come out as a feeling of general emotional instability. You may also feel creatively uninspired. A heightened fear of change. Indulging in addictions vis à vis, the weighed down feel of depression is also an indicator of a blocked sacral chakra.

Solar Plexus

Throat Chakra

Crown Chakra

Unblocking the Root Chakra

  • To unblock this chakra, it needs one to be aware of his body movement. So walk or move around a bit.
  • Feel the ground beneath you.
  • Then sit down and cross your legs and have your shoulders back and your spine straight.
  • Think about your chakra, what the chakra means and how it influences your daily life
  • Gently chant “LAM”.
  • Keep going until you are relaxed and clean.
  • Imagine a closed red flower that opened by very powerful energy into four red petals to full bloom (energy)
  • Contract the perineum while holding breathe and then release, severally.

Unblocking the Sacral Chakra

  • Sit on your knees with your back straight and, ensure that you feel relaxed beneath you.
  • Have your palms facing up with the right above the left and the thumbs touching
  • Now concentrate on the sacral chakra and all that it represents and stands for.
  • Gently chant “Vam” and let yourself relax
  • Reflect on the sacral chakra and its meaning and how it can influence your life.

Naval Chakra

  • SIt on your knees and bend your elbows
  • Bring your hands together at the front of your belly
  • Have your fingers join and pointing away from you to join at the tips.
  • Cross your thumbs and straighten the fingers
  • Now that you have achieved the pose, concentrate on the charm and what it stands for.
  • Chant “RAM”
  • Allow yourself to relax as you think about the chakra and its meaning.
  • When you feel cleansed and relaxed, then you may get up and live.

Unblocking the heart chakra

  • Sit cross-legged and connect index and thumb fingers
  • Have your left hand on your left knee
  • Have your right hand in front of your diaphragm
  • Concentrate on the chakra and its location in your body and what it stands for
  • Gently chant “YAM”.
  • Relax reflecting on how the chakra can affect our life until you have clean feelings

Throat Chakra

  • Sit on your knees
  • Have your hands in front of your chest and throat
  • Cross your fingers and except the thumb (insides)
  • Have the thumb touch each other at the top
  • Having achieved this rightful pose, chant “HAM”.
  • Maintain this for at least 5 minutes
  • Relaxed and cleansed, you can end the session.

Unlocking the Third Eye

  • Sit cross-legged.
  • Have your fingers straight and touching at the tips with the thumbs pointing towards you.
  • Concentrate on the chakra and its location on the temple and the benefits
  • Gently chant “OM’ Or “AUM”.
  • Your third eye chakra is in unblocked state.

Crown Chakra

  • Sit down cross-legged.
  • Have your hands connected in front of your belly.
  • The left hand should be underneath the right with the pinkies touching.
  • With the pose achieved, focus on the crown chakra, its location on the body and its powerful benefits
  • Chant “OM”
  • Your crown chakra is unblocked
