3 Simple Steps to Cleanse and Recharge Your Crystals

When you purchase new crystals, or after using them for some time, or even if other people have been handling them, it’s important to know how to keep them working at their full power through regular cleansing and recharging. It’s also a great time to program your crystals with specific intentions of healing or transformation.

Here are 3 quick and easy steps to keep your crystals activated:

Step 1: Clean.

Soak your crystal in a saline solution.  9% is the perfect ratio.  9% is 1 tablespoon of sea salt in one quart of water.  Natural Salt Only NOT Iodized Salt. I use Himalayan Sea Salt. SOAK FOR 1 HOUR.  Scrub the crystal gently if it is physically dirty.

Some Crystals should not soak in water. In this case, skip to the next step. Here is a list of some of those crystals: Amber,Turquoise, Imperial TopazRed CoralFire OpalMoonstoneOpal, all Calcites including Blue CalciteGreen Calcite, Orange Calcite, Angelite, Azurite, Kyanite, and Kunzite.

If you have a stone that cannot go in the water, place your crystal in the sun, preferably Southern Exposure, for 1 hour.

Step 2:Dry.

Let your Crystals dry out of the sun for 1 hour.

Step 3: Recharge.

Write your Intention for the Crystal and wrap it around the crystal. Take a colored cloth associated with your intention. There are some suggestions below. You can either leave the wrapped crystal in the moonlight all night or leave it in the sun for 1 hour.
